Ty Roux is a detached granite built cottage standing next to a large Lake - the Lac du Korong, by a quiet back road in the heart of the rolling Brittany countryside. The cottage dates from the eighteenth century and has been renovated and furnished to a very high standard, retaining original features of oak beams and exposed stone walls.
Watersports such as Windsurfing, Canoeing and Pedalo hire are available on the lake and there is also a man-made beach and children's play area. It is also an excellent Course Fishing lake and there is also a trout stream nearby. During the summer, there is a kids clubs where the children can learn to windsurf, canoe and abseil.
Nearby is the larger Lac de Guerledan where all watersports including motor sports are also available. The Nantes - Brest canal also runs nearby with miles of cycle paths alongside the canal.
The nearest village, Glomel is on the other side of the lake. ( 1 mile by road and ¼ mile across water) with all local amenities and the nearest towns are Carhaix-Plougeur and Rostrenen with larger shops and supermarkets.
